Heal
Boys growing up in poverty without fathers or mentors face various challenges, including emotional, academic, and social difficulties. The JLAM will seek to fill this gap. The program will consist of program hours after school focused on trauma resolution, mentorship, healthy masculinity and emotional growth.
Through positive role models, encouragement, and healthy coping mechanisms, boys can develop greater emotional intelligence and resilience, enabling them to better navigate life's challenges. Academically, boys who receive mentorship and guidance are more likely to perform well in school and attend college, opening up greater opportunities for their future. It also allows them to develop healthy social skills, build meaningful relationships, and engage in extracurricular activities that can help them grow and succeed.
